His contributions…

🔹Arup Kumar Kundu was born on January 2, 1958 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He was highly inspired by his physician father and followed in his foot steps.
🔹He studied medicine and graduated from Calcutta National Medical College in 1981 with honours and many distinctions. Then he did his Post-Graduation from Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, Kolkata in 1986 with a gold medal for his thesis.
🔹He served in the West Bengal Government Health Service for more than 25 years and gained immense reputation. After that he served in private medical colleges such as KPC Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata and IQ city Medical College, Durgapur for nearly 10 years. He was instrumental in starting Rheumatology clinic in both institutions.
🔹Dr. Kundu is a brilliant academician and is known for his sharp clinical acumen – credited with 106 publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals with approximately 800 citations.
🔹In fact, he is a celebrated author among medical students and practicing physicians. He has published 6 best-sellers in the global market:

🔹His immense contributions have earned him tremendous recognition. He is a Fellow of Indian College of Physicians (FICP) and a Member of New York Academy of sciences (MNAS).
🔹His impressive biography has been included in the American biography book Marquis Who’s Who in the World (2014, 2015 & 2016) and in Wikipedia.
🔹Presently, Dr. Kundu is serving as the Vice President of the East Zone Rheumatology Association, India (IRA).
